Thoughtful and romantic

If you like a soft, girly style, go for timeless dresses that add lightness with their frills and flouncy sleeves. They won't restrict your movements when you dance, and will bring the gaze of affectionate admirers rather than tough macho men.

The cream-coloured, short, flared dress with buffeted sleeves by Zimmermann looks incredibly girly thanks to the floral motifs, but at the same time tempts with deep cut-outs on the back and sides. Also reaching before the knee, the Versace silk dress has long sleeves with a button cuff. Anyway, you'll find buttons all the way down it. It draws attention with one of the Italian fashion house's flagship designs, the Barocco. The ruffles are the hallmark of Etro's light green-blue silk georgette dress. It is decorated with the brand's signature colourful Paisley pattern with gold thread embroidery and a floral motif. To go with all three go with either heeled sandals or summer flip-flops on a flat sole, such as the tropezienne style, which has its roots in the craftsmanship of the best cobblers from St Tropez on the Côte d'Azur.

O(ch)shines

The best disco trends, tried and tested for decades, were born in the 1980s and 1990s. Since then, the rule has been one: wherever you go - dazzle. Shiny, sparkling, embroidered with sequins or crystals. Reflecting the light while adding a touch of glamour to the wearer, these clothes will never go out of fashion in the club.

This is a look that Madonna herself would be proud to wear! The black and gold shimmering Aimsie strapless dress from AllSaints has a fitted corset top with padded cups and a welt detail at the back. It goes great with a leather or denim katana, and in a surprising combination you can wear it with boots or rubber boots. Dolce & Gabbana are known for their praise of femininity. With a zip and hook-and-eye fastening at the back, their dress is entirely covered in shimmering sequins. These are arranged in a pattern with an animal motif. It is pleated at the sides and has adjustable shoulder straps, so you can choose the length and neckline that suits you best. Another G&D dress is similarly styled, but this time with long buffet sleeves and a pointed neckline.

Rock claw

If you've decided to go for rock music instead of disco in a trendy club, go for a feisty look. Break conventions and mix and match elements that don't seem to go together at first glance. Turn wildness at heart into wildness in style.

In this simplicity is method! A black strapless dress with a flared hem creates an inconspicuous impression. But when you match it with ultra-long boots, it gains a thousand points for sex appeal. Covered in a baroque pattern, though in this case reminiscent of the works of street art artists, Versace Jeans Couture's black cotton dress is cut out at the front and has long sleeves. Throw a leather jacket over it and take a seat right up against the stage. It could work at an elegant party, but it would work just as well in a club - the black Gucci dress gets a rocker vibe with substantial boots and lace-up gloves.

Let's dance the tango...

Is tango, salsa, bachata at least one of your elements? Choose something that's a great fit for dance halls, where enjoyment of the music and attentiveness to the other person are the most important things. Pay particular attention to stretchy, non-restrictive and incredibly sexy jumpsuits.

Here, the gloves too have come to the fore. The red leather models bearing the Dries Van Noten label were matched by the stylists with a red asymmetrical Blumarine dress. We can already see how this one, tied at the neck and waist with trousers and embellished with numerous ruffles with a decorative flower-shaped brooch, twirls in the dance!

Made of shiny fabric. Decorative draping at the front. Deep V neckline. Long sleeves. Tapered legs. These are the characteristics of the black jumpsuit from Saint Laurent. One more is worth mentioning here: incredibly feminine! The designers of Gucci's Love Parade collection looked at the jumpsuit in a slightly different way. Neon green with black elements, it was inspired by sportswear. Don't be fooled, it's not just a gym outfit. It looks great teamed with a blazer and a cowboy hat.

Little black dress

This dress will never lose its power. If you're at a loss as to what to wear, let a little black dress come to mind straight away to dispel any dilemmas. But, but - no one said it had to be modest and inconspicuous!

Alexander McQueen's black, waist-length, navy dress is decorated at the front with silver-coloured metallic appliqués. A delicate shine is guaranteed by the silk-finished flaps. The shirttail cut, inspired Alexander Wang to create a cotton-blend button-down design called T. An impressive bow adorns the strapless dress from the Red Valentino collection.

First things first: comfort

If you want to spend an evening in a comfortable, casual atmosphere and you are still not sure how the scenario might unfold, take the latest stylists' hints and match the dress with trousers.

This openwork dress with a faux fur collar paired perfectly with denim trousers with pockets from Dsquared2. If you like more cheerful colours, swap it for a pink version. Balenciaga's loose-fitting envelope dress can be worn on its own, but can also be successfully matched with other pieces in your wardrobe. A transparent silk dress with decorative boning by Maison Margiela made a nice duo with high-waisted lambskin trousers, model Alex from Rag & Bone.

Shoes for the heat of the night

The choice of shoes depends on what style you go for and how you plan to spend your time. We particularly liked Versace's Medusa Aevitas platform shoes reminiscent of ABBA's hottest hits, The Attico's eloquently named Luz models with a fancy heel and Saint Laurent's classic Opyum stilettos with a heel in the shape of the French fashion house's logo.

However, it is impossible to be indifferent to the latest footwear trends. Balenciaga continues to spice up sporty shoes with heels after last year's modified Crocks. Stella McCartney has modified her stilettos in such a way that it is immediately easier to imagine walking in them from club to club on the cobbled streets of historic city centres such as Krakow, Paris or Rome. The entire Stretch Bottega Venetta collection has an extended square toe.

Be detail-oriented

There are few women who can leave the house without a handbag. It's always handy to have even the smallest one to hold your essentials, like the Givenchy Antigona Micro. Try to pack in such a way that your club bag doesn't get in your way and that you don't have to worry about where to leave it - Lou Saint Laurent-style pouches are great for this. And above all let it be a stylish addition to your look. In this aspect our heart was stolen by Alexander McQueen's transparent Skull Four Ring handbag and, above all, the decorative ring-shaped handle, with its distinctive skull finished with sparkling Svarowski crystals.
