Blake Kuwahara is one of the most renowned eyewear designers and the founder and creative director of the multi-disciplinary branding firm FOCUS GROUP WEST. His eponymous collection of sunglasses and optical frames was launched in 2015. Kuwahara, who also holds a PhD in optometry from UC Berkeley, uses revolutionary engineering and manufacturing techniques in his projects that transform today’s take on eyewear design. Among the brands and designers Kuwahara has developed eyewear collections for are Coach, Converse as well as Carolina Herrera, Isaac Mizrahi, Behnaz Sarafpour, and John Varvatos.
