Spring music festivals in Europe are one of the reasons why we eagerly await the arrival of the warmer months each year. Although every music fan yearns for the annual Californian festival, Coachella, it must be admitted that the Old Continent also does not lack good sounds and unforgettable impressions. What are the biggest music festivals and why should you consider attending at least one of them?

Open'er Festival – Gdynia

Starting locally, not only because we like to praise our own, but also because each year the Open'er Festival is treated as one of the best music festivals in Europe. The greatest stars of world music have played here, from Pearl Jam, through Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Florence and The Machine, Radiohead, to Depeche Mode. Every year it attracts crowds from both Poland and abroad. Each edition resonates widely in the media and in the memories of the participants, which is proof that the largest music festivals in Europe also take place in Poland. This year, among others, Rudimental, Lana Del Rey, and Travis Scott will appear on stage.

Primavera Sound – Barcelona

However, those craving foreign experiences should head to Barcelona, the capital of youth, energy, and fun that takes place to the rhythm of the hottest hits of the season. Barcelona is a city that radiates optimism and positive energy, so it's no wonder that Primavera Sound represents the largest music festivals in Europe. Every year, the organizers provide a dose of music at a great level, both popular and those that fall within the scope of alternative music. This year's lineup will be opened by stars like Nas, Pusha T, and Charli XCX.

Distortion – Copenhagen

Even the biggest music festivals in the world rarely enjoy such an atmosphere as prevails at the Distortion festival. A street party where there is no shortage of music, dance, fun, and collective madness to the rhythm of carefully selected musical novelties. The festival deserves recognition because it has been in existence for over two decades and still has a lot to offer to young people looking for musical sensations amid a liberated street crowd.

Rock am Ring – Nürburgring

Music festivals in Europe also include concerts for fans of heavier, rock sounds. Rock am Ring is a classic of this type of festival and every year it attracts a host of fans of rock and heavy metal bands. It is a long-standing tradition that in the first weekend of June, fans of heavier genres of music travel to Germany and together they lose themselves in this true celebration of rock music. This year, heavy sounds will be provided by bands such as Slipknot, Alice in Chains, and the Polish band Behemoth.

Tomorrowland – Boom, Belgium

Although July is no longer a spring period, it would be difficult not to mention in this set, the Tomorrowland festival, which is organized in Belgium. The largest music festivals in Europe are those that attract the largest audience and serve a dose of unforgettable and unique emotions. All these criteria are met by Tomorrowland, which was created out of love for the best electronic music. In addition to the music, the festival also attracts attention with its amazing stage construction and scenography, which has already become a characteristic point of this event.
