Three years ago, one of the trendiest colors was a juicy green, named by Pantone as Greenery. After a few seasons dominated by pastel blues and ubiquitous pinks, shades of green are making a comeback on catwalks and the most fashionable city streets. The color of sage, bottle green, khaki, and olive color - these are the colors that will accompany us throughout the summer and also autumn and winter. Hence, it is worth taking a closer look at them.

The most fashionable shades of green

Where did the trend for various shades of green come from? Green is a medium color that has many different shades. Some of them, like the olive color, contain more yellow, making their temperature warm. They are therefore perfect for spring and summer outfits, both in men's and women's wardrobes. Bottle green, on the other hand, is a shade darker, which is not as cool as emerald, but matches its elegance without any problems. Therefore, it works perfectly not only for evening outings in the autumn, but also late summer.

The color of sage is bright but energetic. It does not overwhelm and is easy to combine with various color sets. In recent seasons, it has taken over the color scheme of interiors, as it goes well with gray, white, as well as warm and cool pastels. However, in fashion, it has appeared alongside other shades of green, with which it forms a consistent and harmonious palette. This palette has appeared on the catwalks mainly due to the returning trend for military casual, which, as we know, particularly likes all shades of green.

The color khaki and sage

The color khaki, or rather shades of khaki, as we can include many versions of warm military green in them, is a color that has so far dominated in styling inspired by camouflage and camo. The sage color, on the other hand, is much more delicate and belongs to the group of pastels, hence it has found a very wide application in interiors and fashion. It looks great not only on military coats, capes, or trousers, but also on the most delicate dresses, skirts, or jackets. It is a perfect base for accessories, but also does well in a total look edition.

What shade matches with green?

What shade matches with green in the sage color? In this case, you can experiment, because the sage shade is a very flexible color that suits both light and dark colors. It looks spectacular in a monochromatic combination with other shades of green. Bottle green, olive color, or khaki color will definitely match a dress in the shade of sage. This color will also look good in combination with pastels, for example, with powdery pink, sky blue, or lemon yellow. Of course, it also creates a perfect duo with white and almost any light color.

And what about black? Black looks perfect with darker colors, like bottle green or emerald. With lighter shades of green, it creates an equally interesting composition, but remember that when combined with black and sage, the black stands out first. So if you want the sage to play the first fiddle in your styling, go for a total sage look or pair it with pastel accessories.
